You might need to push just a little bit somewhere between 2000-4000 Hz. There are plenty of good videos on that, too.įor EQ, a lot depends on your voice and the mic, but generally, you get the mud in the sound around 400 Hz. ![]() The next thing to learn is something called “gain structure.” You want a signal strong enough to give good quality, reduce noise and give you something to work on. That is one of the most important parts of a quality recording. Look for some videos on good mic technique. Make sure the automatic gain is off on the system settings for the mic input. I haven’t heard your voice, I don’t know what your using for backing tracks, and I don’t know how that mic responds, so anything is a real shot in the dark. ![]() There’s more to that question than you might think.
